In response to localized seismic shocks and acute isolation in eastern Nooristan, OPHA deployed rapid emergency health response teams. We established and equipped multiple Sub-Health Centers (HSCs) and operationalized Mobile Health and Nutrition Teams (MHNTs) to treat trauma, stabilize acute illnesses, provide obstetric assistance, and supply clean water.
Overcoming treacherous winter mountain roads and rugged topography, OPHA procured and safely transported complete medical consumables, antibiotics, maternal labor kits, and pediatric IV fluids to 18 remote health facilities across Faryab province, preventing stock-outs during peak emergency periods.
Providing comprehensive screening, outpatient clinical consultations, therapeutic feeding rations for children under five, and psychosocial counseling for returnee populations and vulnerable host communities in eastern Afghanistan.
